What is latex?

Sheet latex is made from the sap of the rubber tree, Hevea brasiliensis, which is native to Brazil but mostly cultivated in southeast Asia today. The sap is harvested and turned into latex rubber, which has many practical applications worldwide. Latex is not the same as leather, which is an animal skin. Nor is it the same as PVC, which is a synthetic material.

How do I care for my latex garment?

Latex is a natural substance and, like all clothing, can wear out with time. However, with a little loving care, your latex garment will give you years of wear. It should be stored hung up out of direct sunlight, for example in a closet. Never get any oil-based product near latex. This includes Vaseline, hair oil, body oil, and oil-based lube. Always use a water-based or silicone-based lube on the inside of the garment before you put it on. These can also be used to polish the outside of the garment for that shiny, "wet" look. Special latex polishes are also available. Never dry clean or machine wash your latex. Hand wash it with mild soap and water only. Hang to dry.

How do I put on/take off my latex garment?

A latex garment should fit you like a second skin. Getting into such a tight piece of clothing can be tricky, but if you know a few tips, its easy! Make sure your body is clean and dry and free of oil. Remove jewelry if possible to reduce the chance of ripping your garment. Apply either cornstarch OR water-or silicone-based lube to the inside of your garment to ease friction. Try to use the flat of your palm fingers to ease the garment onto your body. Avoid using your fingernails. To get undressed, simply roll the garment off your body carefully. Wash if desired (see above), powder the inside with cornstarch to prevent it sticking to itself, and hang it up until next time!

Is latex only for people who are "kinky" and into the fetish/BDSM scene?

No! Latex is for whoever wants to wear it. Many people in the fetish scene enjoy latex, but it has recently gained a more mainstream following and has been seen on runways, celebrities, and in fashion magazines.

How do I know what size to order?

We offer 7 sizes, from XXS to XXL. Please message us for a copy of the sizing chart. You can also request a How to Measure chart if you are unsure how to take your own measurements. If you have special fit requirements or your size isn't included in our size chart, let us know and we can make something custom-sized just for you. Custom-sized pieces are final sale. All other pieces can be returned for exchange or credit note, except for panties, bodysuits, and swimwear. Please see our Return and Exchange policy for full details.

We are proud to produce quality handmade garments made to order on a piece-by-piece basis. Everything is made here in Toronto, Canada. Nothing is outsourced or made overseas. Our manufacturing facility complies with ethical labour standards.
